A woman was killed and three soldiers were injured Wednesday in renewed clashes between Palestinian security forces and gunmen in the West Bank city of Nablus, according to the city’s governor.
Akram Rajoub said a 39 year-old woman was shot dead in the violence that broke out after gunmen opened fire on the governorate building in the city.
"Three security forces were also injured in the clashes,” he said in a statement.
In recent months, Nablus has seen repeated clashes between security forces and gunmen.
In August, two Palestinian security forces were killed in a shootout with armed men in the old city of Nablus.
