Israeli soldier injured by gunfire from Lebanon


The soldier was injured near Metula town in northern Israel

An Israeli soldier was shot and injured on Wednesday by a cross-border fire from Lebanon, according to the Israeli army.  
The military said in a statement the soldier was lightly wounded near the town of Metula in northern Israel near Lebanese border. 
"The soldier was wounded by shrapnel to his hand and received treatment at the scene," it added.
